Midwife Molly Troumbly
I began birth work in 2001 as a doula. In 2013, I wanted something more, and I began my journey into midwifery. I completed coursework with Midwife To Be and an apprenticeship with Rebekah Knapp, an amazing midwife with a very busy practice. We formed a strong relationship and continue to attend births together when we can. In 2016 I started my own practice.
I am a wife and mother. My husband, Joel, and I have been married for more than 24 years. My husband is my biggest supporter. I have 4 amazing children that I have been blessed to homeschool.
I am always seeking to learn more about pregnancy, birth, and babies. I have completed Basic Disaster Birth Support Training and maintain NRP and CPR certifications. In 2017, I hope to start schooling to become an herbalist.
I've been a certified Massage Therapist since 2001, a Certified Birth Doula since 2010. I am also a mother of two children. My journey started when I had back surgery at 14 years old. Health and wellness became my passion along with wanting to serve others. After graduating high school, I pursued massage therapy, eventually opening Up North Bodyworks in 2005. As I grew in my faith, I became more aware to the type of massage I was doing and work at focusing on each client’s needs more.
A second passion of mine has become working with women and families through their pregnancies! After having two children of my own, I realized that there are so many options and having a support 'team' is very important. Not everyone has one, but all women going through pregnancy can benefit from the help and support. I first became a certified birth doula and am now currently working with Molly as her assistant since October 2015. Recently I finished a class to become a fertility massage therapist. I look forward to helping educate women from puberty through menopause and focus on reproductive concerns I am excited to see what God has planned for the future!
